New Root is hosting a Freshman Student Day of Action on February 26, 2025, to help students explore career paths. Professionals and NCCHS alumni volunteers will lead activities like an alumni panel, pitch development, vision board creation, and mock interviews. The five-hour event runs from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and volunteers can register via the provided link and are encouraged to share the opportunity.

The Dentist is coming on February 3rd to North Chicago Community High School. Save yourself time by letting Smile Programs, the mobile dentist, care for your child's teeth. Cleanings and Fluoride treatments are provided. Consent forms were sent home via mail. Please fill out the form and return it to the Health Office. Our D187 high school students participated in a valuable mock job fair. The event featured a diverse panel of interviewers from various organizations, including NC City Hall, Northwestern Medicine, and Lake County Workforce Development. Three esteemed Warhawk alumni, including Mayor Rockingham, also participated, providing students with valuable insights into the job application process and the importance of professional networking.
